I use a recipe for homemade "playdough". Personally I like this one it has koolaid, which makes it smell good.
Dough is something that you can use in homeschooling for re-enforcing the texture of something. I also use it for a break, sometimes you need to get your frustration out. I think also that to explore creative ideas makes you a more balanced thinker.
Another thing I use often is Donna Young. She is a homeschooler mom whose youngest child is finished, and she has been in the trenches. Thankfully she is still willing to share.
My favorite history lessons that are available online are at American Heritage. It is an American based, no nonsense wonderful look at America and how we came to be. It gives you a lot of stuff which is all free. It is based on our history, not someone's interpretation of it.
I use other curriculum that I pay for, but any free good curriculum helps you expand your chid to learning.
