Fighting Mad

My circle of breast cancer friends are without my biggest supporters. Our fearless leader just had surgery last week, and even so she is ready and willing to take on the White House on the new indications of Mammograms.

Healthy Body

I am on a kick, a health kick if you will. As a country music fan, there is a trend to idolize the skinny vegetarian country music singers. Personally women were made by God to have curves, and yes along with that some healthy fat. I am not talking about obesity but I am talking about being a normal size.

Miranda Lambert in a recent article for People shared she was a size six or eight depending on the designer. That is skinny enough, she has curves and looks great! I know she loves her livestock and pets, and may confuse the two. But Miranda also likes to hunt and fish, I cannot tell you how much my boys think that kind of girl is attractive. They want a real gal, a real gal who loves what they love while not thinking the world revolves about being skinny first.

Since I am not a mother of girls I cannot say what I think about the implied image of watching a girl that is size zero saying she is proud to be a woman. What I can say is this type of singer will no longer be on my blog. I want real gals like Gretchen Wilson and Miranda Lambert off the top of my head.

I see a very disturbing case of adoring a gal that is more interested in her size than being healthy and curvy.

Then I have to think what is normal and natural, size zero is not a natural size for the female body. Once you stick breast implants on a size zero of course they have curves, but that is not natural but they want to say vegetarian eating is the best way. Eat veggies, and see how big your curves will be.

I am sure most women reading my blog would love to be a size 6, real women have curves is not just a movie.

Vegetarian Guests

Oh this is a gem! Warning it does have cuss words in it. But my politically uncorrect side has to post this! After all I am a carnivore, and eating meat is a passion.

Next time you are cooking a separate dish for Vegetarians remember this video!

Politically Un-Correct

Reality is stranger than fiction in my life. A pack of cigarettes will soon be $7.00. Never in my lifetime did I think it would be that high.  Yesterday as I looked at my stats I found that because I used the term deaf ears I was tracked by a website that protects the deaf. I am not against the hearing impaired, it is a phrase!

Old phrases are dying out in our language. It is being replaced by some language that is foul, dumbed down and in most cases slang. We need to remember those phrases, we need to get back to simpler times. We need to think about how to express ourselves without foul language but with colorful words. There is nothing like a great phrase that you have not heard in a long time.

I do not support targeted attacks either. I just want real words to be used that paint a word picture. If you are here because you want to “get me”, get in line. I am not keeping my politics here but I am and will always be politically un-correct. I will say what few will in a country where musicians using foul language on hit songs are okay but my words are too much. The real problem today is very few stand up and say wait a minute…being a Christian is not a crime. Being a farmer is not a bad person. Once you start a slippery slope where every reference words hurt, you will be a society where the inmates are running the insane asylum.

Life is too short to spend it picking fights that don’t exist. I will be politically un-correct as long as I breathe air. If you are unclear what politically un-correct is I have the lyrics here.

I’m for the low man on the toedom pole
And I’m for the underdog god bless his soul
And I’m for the guys still pulling third shift
and the single mom raising her kids
And I’m for the preacher who stay on their knees
And I’m for the sinner who finally believed
And I’m For the farmer with dirt on his hands
And the soldiers who fight for this land

And I’m for the bible
And I’m for the flag
And I’m for the working man
Me and Ol’ hag
I’m just one of many who can’t get no respect
Politically Uncorrect

I guess my opinion is all out of style
Don’t get me started because i can get wild
And I’ll make a fight for the four father’s plan (That’s Right)
Hell the world already knows where I stand

And I’m for the bible
And I’m for the flag
And I’m for the working man
Me and Ol’ hag
I’m just one of many who can’t get no respect
Politically Uncorrect

Nothing Wrong with the bible
Nothing Wrong with the flag
Nothing Wrong with the working man
Me and Ol’ Hag
We’re just some of many that can’t get no respect
Politically Uncorrect
Politically Uncorrect

This song was written by Gretchen Wilson that I know about, but I do know she sang it along with Charlie Daniels
