If you could tell me there was something less funny I devy you to find it that makes me belly laugh every episode. The characters are just so funny!
Anyway this song is a classic, and they do a great job, with a enough humor that we can all enjoy the sappy music!
He has what I call physical comedy down like few comics can. Red Skelton was great at it too. This is a classic bit Dick did, the Drunk. It is revealing in that Dick Van Dyke had his battle with alcohol.
I love cupcakes. Matter of fact I think cupcakes are a meal of their own kind. Okay not a meal but a dessert, they are not only cake and they are not pie. The author of Hello Cupcake was on Paula Deen yesterday. I rarely watch TV during that time, had it not been for the rain I would have probably never known. Hello Cupcake is the most beautiful book on cupcakes I have seen to date. I did not buy it, but I have drooled over it in Walmart for about thirty minutes.
This Thanksgiving I am making Peas and Carrots Cupcakes. When my nieces and great nephews are running around saying they don’t love vegetables I will tell them they have to eat peas and carrots for desert. I know they will love them!
Here is her basic Vanilla Cupcake Recipe:
Basic Vanilla Cupcakes:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/2 cup vegetable
oil - 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar

- 3 eggs
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla extract, milk and vegetable oil.
Cream together the butter and sugar with a hand-held mixer in a large bowl. Add the eggs 1 at a time and mix to combine. Alternate the dry and wet ingredients to the egg mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
Pour the batter 2/3 full into the cupcake tins and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before frosting.
One thing they did say was with a mix use buttermilk instead of water. I bet that is a good rich cupcake.
Now to ice them you use green icing. I always use either a buttercream or a 50/50 butter/ crisco ratio in the fall. If Texas has a hot day I would have to use all Crisco with powdered sugar and a couple of tablespoons of milk. Then you add green food coloring or the icing coloring.
The green in the peas is green M & Ms, the carrots are orange Starbursts rolled and sliced like chunks of carrots. You place them upright on the cupcake like you are slicing into a mound of peas and carrots.
Walmart now carries just green M & Ms I saw them the other day.
I plan on doing a test run so I will post a picture when I try the recipe out.
I love the series Bones. David is so cute, and yet such a guy’s guy. Anyway Here is a clip I got from twitter! Craig Ferguson is one of my favorite hosts, usually I am not up when he is on. The Bones set had been shut down for what they said was the Swine Flu. One of the things about David is his dad is a weatherman, I just love that.
He is the guy to beat for me. I love all the guys, but Donny being older than me by a few months is making me so proud. Proud that he can take that body and move it, rehearse and perform in Vegas while doing DWTS. I still love Michael and the skateboard kid, but Donny is my guy. I finally committed to Donny, after all these years. I know he has been waiting, not that he married at 18 and had upteen kids or anything.
We will be at the feedstore meeting, so I will DVR it. I can hardly wait to watch it!
Last night as I was laying relaxing I turned on Dancing With the Stars just to see if it was going to be any good this season. I laughed till I cried. Between Michael Irvin, Tom Delay and the little skate boarding guy, there is so much to watch and enjoy. Donnie Osmond was worse than I thought, Michael and his million dollar smile made the show. So many truly enjoyed the show. It was totally men night. They have a new relay dance that was very fun to watch. Chuck is some kind of fighter, he truly tried his best. Anyway if you haven’t watched, and you want to be uplifted and in joy, try a bit of it. Wednesday is Patrick Swayze tribute night. I don’t know about Tuesday for me it is women’s night, right now I am all in for the men. The men are definitely a group of guys that are trying as hard as they can to learn grace and dancing.
Here is a preview, but Michael, Chuck and the little skateboarding guy are not on it. Trust me DWTS this season is a must see, if only you watch the men.
And yes I DVRed House. I was not going to miss one second of it.
I don’t watch America’s Got Talent. Something about Hoff and Sharon drive me crazy. But I do love talent. CMT had this show that I caught the end of, I had to find more video of Terry Fator. My heart sang when I found out he was a good Texan. I knew he would be perfect to showcase, and I found the perfect video of him. This is great it isn’t everything I saw on CMT, but is a good video.
There is nothing like a song you can sing over and over from memory.
Here we go the first is a catchy tune. One of my favorites. At college Dunk got hooked on it!
This place was my afternoon excursion when I got through with my homework as a kid. And yes you can guess my favorite.
Be careful don’t trip! Right after I went to the island I left for New Rochelle.
Once a week I would visit this crazy farm, with the most adorable pig! Copywrights on the song are a problem but this baby is legal.
So let me say without question I have been a Kelsey Grammer addict since Cheers. Good TV is hard to find these days. This new show is finally about a family downsizing in TV life. Personally whether Kelsey was in it or not I think I would like it, but since I was Frasier Addict (own every DVD season) I am already hooked!
So watch for yourselves!
Patricia Heaton had me “Ray…”. She played a mom you worried for, laughed at and cheered for. The saddest thing to me about the comedy Patricia and Kelsey did together was the timing was not there. I tried to love it, but I just couldn’t. This on the other hand looks like a winner to me. Real Life is so many times funnier than fiction. Scienfeld was based on truth, Cheers started around standard characters and Everyone loves Raymond was basically Ray’s real life.
So watch this preview! I can so relate in many ways.
